Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
We’ve made getting started as simplified as possible. Reach out through our contact form (Get in Touch page) or message us on Instagram to begin. We’ll schedule a FREE consultation where I will explain the process and answer any questions you might have.
Is childcare a service you provide?
While childcare is not a service we offer, our focus is on supporting moms and families through practical household help, organization, cleaning, and postpartum recovery support. For the safety and quality of our services, we ask that older children be supervised by a parent or caregiver during our visit. The exception is our postpartum support package, which includes up to one hour of newborn care, allowing mom time to rest, shower, or enjoy a moment of self-care while remaining in the home.
How do I pay for services, and what payment methods do you accept?
To reserve your service date, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of service. We currently accept credit/ debit cards, checks, and Venmo. Payment details will be provided during the booking process.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policies?
I understand that life with a new baby can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel and/or reschedule your service, please provide at least 48 hours notice. Exceptions may be made for illness, labor, medical emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances. My goal is always to work with families compassionately while respecting the time set aside for your service.
Do I need to be home for the service?
In most cases, yes. Because many of our services are personalized and tailored to your family’s needs, we ask that a client be present during the visit. Depending on the services selected, you may choose to remain home or step out while services are being completed. We’ll discuss your preferences and comfort level during your consultation to determine what works best for you.
What types of tasks can Screen Door Co. help with, and are there services you don’t provide?
Screen Door Co. is here to support mothers and families through practical, hands-on help during pregnancy and the postpartum season. Services may include homemade meal delivery, meal preparation, grocery shopping, kitchen cleanup, light housekeeping, deep cleaning certain areas, laundry, nursery and baby station setup, organization projects, and other household tasks that help lighten your load.
While we’re happy to help with many day-to-day needs, we do not provide childcare, medical care of any kind, transportation services, deep cleaning toilets or showers, pet care, or services requiring professional licensing or specialized training. If you’re unsure whether a task falls within our scope, just ask during your consultation— we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs or point you toward a trusted resource.
